Cystoscopy

ASSOCIATED VETERINARY SPECIALISTS' INTERNAL MEDICINE VETERINARIANS PROVIDE THE HIGHEST LEVEL OF CARE FOR OUR VETERINARY PATIENTS.

A cystoscopy can be performed for several reasons including but not limited to the following: diagnose diseases of the urethra and bladder when other methods are inconclusive, to remove stones from the urethra and bladder via grasping forceps or laser lithotripsy, or for the placement of stents to relieve an obstruction.  There are several different types or scopes and procedures that can be performed to better evaluate the urinary tract.  Depending on your pet's problem, size and sex, our doctors will discuss in detail the best option for further diagnostics.
